Responsibilities

  • Own the mechatronic system architecture (mechanical, electronic and software) design for multiple product variants, delivering technical solutions from concept through to detailed implementation requirements.

  • Elicitation of product requirements from both internal and external stakeholders, balancing attributes and implementation constraints that meet the product targets, timeline and budget.

  • Work directly with external partner and customer system engineering teams to ensure compatibility of your architecture with all potential implementation environments.

  • Be the technical lead for the system engineering team to follow robust safety critical design and test processes to industry best practice.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering, or related technical field

  • Deep knowledge of production vehicle electrical and software systems and relevant industry standards

  • Experience in delivery of electronic & software related products from research through to series production either within or for an OEM.

  • Some experience with model-based systems engineering methods

  • Strong inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of automotive telematics systems and connected car applications

  • Knowledge of mechatronic chassis systems and vehicle dynamics

  • Significant model based system engineering experience

  • Experience delivering safety critical software or hardware products and application to relevant industry standards (ISO/SAE etc..)
